Help and FAQs for Pantora
Open the app, scan your fridge or pantry, and Pantora identifies ingredients using AI. Then it generates recipes you can actually make with what you have, estimates calories and cost, and shows whether cooking is worth it compared to ordering delivery.
The free plan includes 5 lifetime scans. After that, you can upgrade to Pantora Pro for unlimited scans. Each scan can include up to 3 photos so you can capture multiple shelves or angles.
Unlimited scans, full macro breakdowns (protein, carbs, fat), calorie forecast for the day, the Cook-vs-Order comparison with savings tracking, recipe history, and all future Pro features.
$6.99 per month, or $49.99 per year (annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers).
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not Pantora directly. To cancel:
1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Tap Pantora Pro
5. Tap Cancel Subscription
You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
Cancellations stop future renewals but don't refund the current period. If you believe you've been charged in error, request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Pantora does not have the ability to issue refunds.
Open Pantora → Settings → tap your subscription row → tap Restore Purchases. If that doesn't work, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to purchase. Still stuck? Email us and we'll help.
The AI is good but not perfect. After every scan, you get a confirmation screen where you can add missed ingredients or remove anything that's incorrect. Always confirm before generating recipes.
They're AI-generated estimates, not certified nutritional information. Treat them as a useful approximation, not medical or financial advice. For precise nutrition tracking or dietary needs, consult a registered dietitian.
Open Pantora → Settings → Apple Health → tap Connect to Apple Health. Grant the permissions on the system sheet. Pantora will then read your daily calorie intake from Health and write your cooked meals to Health automatically.
The in-app toggle and the iOS permission are separate. To fully disconnect: open Pantora → Settings → Apple Health → tap Disconnect. Then to revoke at the OS level: iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Pantora → Turn Off All.
Open Pantora → Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap Delete Account. Confirm the prompt. This permanently deletes your profile, all scans, recipes, cook events, and pantry data. Subscription cancellation is separate — cancel via Apple ID settings first if you have an active subscription.
No. Deleting your account stops your data from being stored but does not cancel or refund your subscription. Cancel via Apple ID settings before deleting your account, and request any refund through Apple.
Make sure you have an active internet connection and that your photos are well-lit. The AI struggles with very dark photos, very glossy reflective surfaces, or extreme angles. Try opening the fridge fully, taking a wider shot, and ensuring decent lighting. If it still fails, email us with details and we'll investigate.
No. Scanning requires AI processing in the cloud, which needs an internet connection. Cached recipes and your history are viewable offline, but new scans and recipe generation require connectivity.
